Focus of research:
Established in 2002, the Department of Political Science aims to organize and conduct scientific information and research in political science, inform the scientific community about the state and prospects of this discipline in Russia and abroad, and provide information support for political science education.
Employing highly qualified political science specialists with extensive research and teaching experience, the Department has established strong links with research and educational institutions in Russia and abroad. It also cooperates closely with professional associations, notably the Russian Association of Political Science.
Among the key responsibilities of the Department's staff is the preparation and editorial work for the scientific journal “Political Science,” recognized as one of the foremost political periodicals in Russia. The journal's primary focus is on reviewing and analyzing the state of political science and its subfields, recent scientific advancements, and the methodological challenges encountered in the study of political life.
