Center for Interdisciplinary Research
Focus of research:
- Examination of outlines of global transformations:
- research on the formation of a new polycentric world order and the role of BRICS+ in this process;
- development of the interdisciplinary project “New Populism”, including the study of Donald Trump’s phenomenon;
- comprehensive analysis of the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence technologies on the advancement of expert support mechanisms in policymaking, scientific libraries, and other contemporary information storage and processing institutions.
- Study on the interrelationship between globalization and regionalization processes:
- scientific support of the Eurasian Information and Analytical Consortium;
- study of Russia's economic turn to the East and the global South.
- Development of technologies for the promotion of Russian scientific results abroad:
- research of think tanks in Russia and other countries of Greater Eurasia;
- publishing bibliographic indexes of Russian-language publications (by Russian authors) on current topics in English.
The Center was founded at the behest of Prof. Dr. Alexey Kuznetsov, Director of the INION RAN, to enhance interdisciplinary scientific research conducted by the Institute’s researchers, including collaboration with scholars from other prominent scientific and educational centers in Russia.
