The information-analytical journal Sotsial’nye i gumanitarnye nauki. Otechestvennaia i zarubezhnaia literatura. Seria 3, Filosifia [The social sciences and humanities. Domestic and foreign literature. Series 3, Philosophy] of the Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences publishes research articles, review articles and book reviews. The main purpose of the journal is to monitor and analyze the latest philosophical, religious and cultural theories that determine the intellectual climate in Russia and the West. The journal aims to inform the academic community about new significant foreign and domestic research on this topic. Understanding trends in the development of socio-humanitarian thought is impossible without considering the influence of classical heritage, the study of which is also given attention in the journal.
