  • 1980 – PhD in History. Thesis title is “Leftist forces of France and the problem of democratic governance (1968–1979)”.

  • PhD student at the Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences, Russian Academy of Sciences.
  • Centre for Sociological Analysis of the Higher School of Social Sciences (CADIS, Paris) under the supervision of A. Touraine and M. Wieviorka (1991).
  • Moscow Lomonosov State University, graduated from the Faculty of History.

Work experience:

  • 40 years in the staff of the Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences – from junior researcher to chief researcher
  • Head of the Department for Global Issues

Teaching activities:

  • Guest Lecturer at the University of Paris (Panthéon-Assas, 1999–2000).
  • Visiting Professor at the University of Bordeaux (from 2008 to 2013).
